Larger paper globes make a stronger visual statement and usually work best in rooms with higher ceilings. Use your room height and furniture scale as a guide — then choose the size you love most. Each shade is hand-shaped from natural mulberry paper (washi) for a soft, warm, glare-free glow.

Keep at least 16 in of exposed cord above the shade for a balanced look.

When estimating hang length, add about half the shade height to the visible cord length.

Some wire length is lost during install, so leave a little extra slack.

What is the shade made of?

Each globe is hand-shaped from genuine natural mulberry paper (washi) over a slender frame. The subtle fibers and warm tone are unique to every piece — real handmade paper, never plastic or printed film.

Which size should I choose?

It comes in eleven diameters, from 30 cm (∅11.8″) to 120 cm (∅47.2″). As a guide: smaller sizes (30–50 cm) suit a bedside, nook, or hallway; mid sizes (55–70 cm) are ideal over a dining table or island; and larger sizes (75–120 cm) make a bold statement in a living room, foyer, or stairwell. How high should I hang it?

Over a dining table, keep the bottom of the shade about 28–30″ above the tabletop. Over open floor or a walkway, keep it at least 7 ft above the floor. Leave at least 16″ of exposed cord above the shade for a balanced look. The drop length is adjustable.

What size globe suits my dining table?

What bulb and light color should I use?

For the soft, warm glow shown, we recommend a 2700–3000K warm-white LED bulb. A warm bulb brings out the natural fibers of the paper, and LED runs cool, which is gentle on the shade.

Is it hard to install — do I need an electrician?

It's a hardwired ceiling pendant mounted to a standard junction box. A confident DIYer with wiring experience can manage it, but if you're not comfortable with wiring, any electrician can fit it quickly. Always cut power at the breaker first, and handle the paper shade by its frame.

How do I clean a paper globe light?

Dust gently with a soft, dry brush or cloth, and keep it away from moisture. Handle the mulberry paper shade with care, as it's a natural handmade material — avoid water and harsh chemicals.
